Celebrate & Support

Join us for a very special night, and a chance for us to connect and to chat in a cozy and inspiring environment.

The Delicious Details:

We will gather at 5:30pm for some delightful mingling and nibbling. At about 6pm, Artistic Director Rodrigo Beilfuss will make introductory remarks and two very special acts will follow: musical performances by Walk & Talk Theatre and Cuinn Joseph – all Shakespeare-inspired.

Walk & Talk are one of Winnipeg’s most inventive acts, and their musical talents and wit are the stuff of joy. And Cuinn Joseph is nothing short of a musical prodigy, able to play multiple instruments and create sounds that are deeply moving and catchy – if you saw The Player King in 2022, you know it!

You’ll also get a chance to be present for a conversation with these two lovely acts, as Rodrigo asks questions about their creative process following their performances. YOU will get a chance to ask questions too!

And then we will break for more delicious food and drinks! Yay!

And at about 7pm, Rodrigo will make an exclusive announcement – just for you folks that are present – about our plans for 2024! You’ll get to hear thoughts and ideas first hand, and you’ll get to ask questions too – anything you’d like! You can ask about seasons to come; past seasons; ideas you might have about your favourite Shakespeare plays…anything!

And THEN you’ll get to enjoy a sneak peek into the new Shakespeare-adjacent work we will be putting on next year, in a staged-reading with Arne MacPherson and Cory Wojcik – two of Winnipeg’s most accomplished and titanic talents!

We should be all wrapped up by 8pm or so! And of course, you’re welcome to stick around and ask questions and mingle with the artists.

This is your chance to enjoy some great art, food, drinks and to support YOUR Shakespearean company.

2024 will be a challenging year, as many Arts organizations have predicted already. But rather than shrinking or retreating, we firmly believe that we need more art, and more joy, and more daring!

Please support your SIR, and come out this Sunday. Let’s celebrate together!
