Harry Nelken is a Winnipegger who has been acting professionally for more than forty years in both theatre and film.
He has performed with all the major Winnipeg theatres, including Shakespeare in the Ruins where he appeared as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (2007), Baptista in Taming of the Shrew (20028) and Brabantio in Othello (2009). Out of town, he has worked at the Stratford Festival, NAC, Citadel, Theatre Calgary, Persephone, Magnus Theatre, Theatre Sudbury, and Chemainus.
His film credits include The Ice Road (2021), The Lookout (2007) & Capote (2005).
Some of his favourite roles include: Shylock, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Levine (Glengarry Glen Ross), Etgar (Birds of a Kind), Stem (Eureka!) Mendel (Narrow Bridge)
Harry has two grown daughters, and shares his life with his beloved Cynthia.
Frank Adamson found his way into the acting business slowly, working at CBC in accounting and duplicating in the 1960s, learning his craft in amateur theatre in his off time. He read all the scripts that came across his desk and watched them come to life in CBC studios.
He attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute for training as a producer, and eventually made the headlong leap into producing, writing, directing and acting. Since then, Adamson has developed a prolific career acting on stage as well as working in film and television. Adamson has also written, produced and directed numerous projects including documentaries. He is currently gathering stories about immigrants who have settled in Manitoba for a documentary series.
He has over 60 screen credits and has acted in dozen of plays at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, where his performances are defined by intense naturalism.
